An Elegant September Wedding at Rudding Park

Amy and Sam chose the stunning Rudding Park as the setting for their September wedding – and what a beautiful day it was. They brought together an incredible team of suppliers to bring their vision to life, and I had the pleasure of working closely with Ambience North Yorkshire on the overall styling.
While I focused on creating romantic, impactful florals, Lydia and her team styled the spaces to perfection – ensuring every detail complemented the flowers and the elegant setting.
The Ceremony
The couple held their ceremony at the beautiful St John’s Church in Knaresborough, a truly special place to say “I do.” For the ceremony, we designed urn arrangements on plinths, filled with soft, seasonal blooms that framed the altar space beautifully. These were later moved to Rudding Park for the reception, allowing them to be enjoyed all day – something I always try to do when planning florals with couples.
One of the key floral moments was the entrance to Rudding Park, where we created a real wow-factor installation. We adorned the pillars with climbing florals and placed a floral arch just behind, creating a layered, romantic entrance. It made for a striking first impression and ended up being the backdrop for many of the couple’s photos due to not being as lucky with the weather on the day.
Inside, we continued the floral storytelling with a statement arrangement on the fireplace near the bar, which brought a beautiful focal point to the space. The tables were styled with a mix of bowl arrangements and bud vases, adding texture, movement, and softness to the room without feeling too formal.
It all came together so beautifully – an elegant day full of love, laughter, and carefully curated details. It was a joy to be a part of and an honour to help bring Amy and Sam’s floral vision to life.
